When DP World’s North American Operations Group, headquartered in North Carolina, signed on as a Platinum Sponsor of the 16th Annual TPM Conference in Long Beach, California, they needed a range of new conference materials and tools. Red Rocket Creative Strategies was hired to develop an extensive activation program for the conference, encompassing an overall strategy along with collateral materials.
An important anchor piece of their program was a corporate brochure with inserts that was given to all attendees. These elements needed to highlight four of DP World’s North American facilities: Vancouver, Nanaimo, Prince Rupert and Caucedo in the Dominican Republic, while presenting the advantages of each port’s facilities and features.
We began by applying the over-arching conference branding theme: “Northwest to Southeast: more options to—and from—the Americas.” Following the brand guidelines, we created a texture and colour theme built around wavy diagonal patterns that suggested water, map contour lines and also route direction. To help the brochure stand out amongst exhibitors, we developed a memorable foldout concept that transformed into segmented areas for each of the facility descriptions. For additional sizzle a pocket, housing informative inserts on each of the four ports, was introduced. These inserts utilized a series of custom icons to visually depict each port’s offerings at a glance.
The piece was a standout item at the conference and helped DP World reinforce its reputation as a leading enabler of global trade.
